About Pho Son
OUR STORY
Coming from a small village in Vietnam, one can only imagine to start a business to provide for their family. But with a vision and hard work, sometimes dreams do come true. Pho Son, the very first vietnamese restaurant in Kendall County, is a mesh of tradition and amodern take on Vietnamese cuisine. We would like to share our culture and our food.
So, come out and support us, and join our journey.

Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Oswego, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Illinois run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 amโ9 pm. It is closed on Monday. Oswego is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Oswego follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

A lovely experience, and one I quite enjoyed! The food is on the milder side and I loved the flavor of the pho soup. However, the mint they serve seems to be old or damaged, and it was like that for all the mint given out. That's the only real complaint on the food. The price is variable for several items. On some it was just right, on others too expensive for the size of the item given. Service was slow at first, especially on being noticed, but afterwards the staff were very attentive and polite. Despite this, I heavily recommend coming here for the atmosphere and food, it is a very lovely place and we left feeling quite satisfied! Above all, it does feel like walking into somebody else's home with the cozy atmosphere.

I've been coming to this Pho Place since I have been living in IL (past 2-3 years). I've tried other places but I find myself comparing it to Pho son everytime. I always order Pho combination, Pork Spring roll and Pineapple/Mango smoothie. There's never a day that didn't hit it for me. Wether its snowing outside, or raining, its such a vibe to watch through the big windows while eating. Peaceful and great staff! I've also tried their Rice entree, it is marinated meat so you have a hint of sweet/savory/sour but not too overwhelming- with a side of veges and egg on top. The basic of asian staple rice, meat, and veggies. DON'T MISS OUT ON THE Bahn-mi sandwich!!! It has this carrot in it thats sweetly/sour pickled in the sandwich, It is very much my taste. My first time having that type of sandwich, I find myself craving it. Finally, the pho broth is very good, its not too strong. It's warm and welcoming, and if you need to season it or make it your own way- you can always add the sauces that are on the side. I usually add Sriracha/Garlic-Chili and Hoisin sauce. It can get very spicy, hence why I get my Pineapple-mango smoothie. Will always come to eat here ๐ฉท

I had a mixed experience at Pho Son Restaurant in Oswego. The customer service was really great and welcoming, which I truly appreciated. The spring rolls were good, and everything came out fresh, fragrant, and served at the right temperature. The broth itself was well-seasoned and clearly prepared with care. However, the pho just wasnโt for me. While I can tell it was made well, it didnโt quite resonate with my palate. Itโs possible I didnโt mix it properly or choose the right combination of ingredients for my taste buds. That said, I may try it again since itโs such a popular dish right now and I really wanted to enjoy this Vietnamese staple. It just wasnโt a hit for me this time around.

holy cannoli, it blows my mind all nearby chain restaurant drive-thrus are slammed, and when i arrived, i was the only person there! this food is FRESH, this food is FLAVORFUL, this food is REAL. the spring rolls are crispy, the soup is healing, even the strawberry lemonade made to-order. this place rivals Pho Nam Lua (in Chicago), and their attention to detail is 2nd to none (1/2 sriracha 1/2 hoisin to-go cups).
